Gracious Neighbor, Nancy, proudly holds up her harvest. This weeks carrots and Eggplant come from her warm season crops. With two 4x10x18 boxes and two half wine barrels, her garden is relatively small proving you don't need a large space to grow food in your home.
It is the end of the warm season, the gardens winding down in time to refresh for the cold season. Each package today consists of a ration of what’s left. Our goal at the beginning and end of each season is to give everyone a substantial amount of food.
This time of year we enjoy seed saving from mature amaranth plants for next year's cultivation.
