In The Flow | Water Harvesting & Garden Tips

  • 28th st and Ash San Diego, CA USA (map)

Join us for a fun and informative foray around South Park to meet with homeowners who have installed rainwater harvesting or greywater systems in their homes, and have abundant food producing and/or native landscapes. This is a great way to see how easy it is to be a part of the water solution and the variety of ways that water can be harvested. During this easy paced bike tour, you will see both professionally installed (H2Ome) and do-it-yourself applications.

If you are curious about how to harvest either rainwater or greywater this is your opportunity to meet with many different people all working to create a water abundant “blue” future. Rainwater harvesting and greywater reuse can reduce a household’s water consumption by over 50 percent.

Tickets only $5 and available on the website!!

This is a great opportunity to complete your ACTION STEP for the month of May if you are participating with us in the Tiny Footprint Challenge!!

You will have an opportunity to meet people who are growing their own food with onsite water supplies, including homes that are part of an urban sharecropping program (Good Neighbor Gardens) providing CSAs to our local community.

The bike ride will meet at the Park located at 28th and Ash Street in South Park. After registration we will begin our tour of 4-6 houses to learn from their experiences. The bike tour will culminate at the same park where we will have music, food, and allow time for you to continue talking to the experts about landscape and water solutions.

There will be a raffle for this event featuring some amazing gifts from local businesses. Your ticket price includes 1 raffle ticket. More can be purchased online or on the day of the event. We will update the website with the raffle prizes!
