San Diego, you are in for a real treat at this month’s Good Neighbor Gardens Get Down!
We are pleased to introduce to you Benny Thompson (pronouns: they/them), a local, small scale urban farm-steader we have partnered with to supplement our CSA boxes with delicious, nutrient dense organic food grown in their innovative vermiponics food mural. Come take a tour of Benny’s food mural system, learn the unique aspects of how they designed and built their vermiponics system to grow food utilizing worm-driven compost tea, and find out how this system can be implemented in your own yard.
Urban food forests are possible and accessible!
A delicious, artisanal, hyper-local lunch will be served with all foods sourced from Benny’s food mural and our Gracious Neighbors’ gardens.
